HazMat Training Program:	What's this? The HazMat Training Program is an online software application which trains & instructs employees in the Hazardous Materials regulations (HMR), safety procedures, and general security awareness required to ship automotive airbags in commerce. The Department of Transport (DOT) requires all employers whose employees are involved in key functions related to shipping airbags in commerce to be trained and tested. Employees who perform certain defined functions including packing, labeling, selecting packing materials, completing shipping documents presenting for shipping and other tasks are defined as "Hazardous Materials Employees" and their training and testing are required under CFR 49. In addition to HazMat Training, a HazMat Certificate can be obtained by passing the online multiple choice HazMat certification exam. Airbag Inspection & Training Programs:	(included at no charge at current time) What's this? The Training Program is the Online Software Application which trains & instructs technicians in airbag extraction, handling, inspection & safety procedures. In addition it includes an online multiple choice examination which leads to the Certified Airbag Technician (CAT) qualification. A CAT number is required to access & use the Inspection Program. The Inspection Program, a.k.a. Airbag Evaluation Management System (AEMS) is the software application which manages the airbag inspection process. AEMS handles the data capture, inspection process, recall check, report generation and database management for each airbag module processed.
